They will also likely clear the books of $10 million by waiving OT Marcus McNeill. The team is also expected to release or seek to renegotiate the contract of DL Luis A. Castillo, who is due $4.975 million in 2012. Releasing Castillo would clear all but $1.025 million of his $6 million cap number. "He's got great acceleration and he showed this year he's very competitive as a player," Turner said. "I would love to see him be a guy that evolves into a Pro Bowl special teams player, but I do believe he's a guy that's going to be a very good player for us in the secondary and I'm anxious for him to take that next step."
